Frequently Asked Questions

We have a financial plan/timeline that can help you commit to your next address on our campus while your house is still on the market. You can discuss any details with our sales team.

We allow pets in independent living. Cats, small dogs, birds and fish are allowed upon approval.

A $500 non-refundable pet fee applies.

Assisted living residents are more independent and may be able to perform more activities and can get around as they like. They may need help with certain tasks, such as housework or bathing, but they can perform many tasks on their own. Long-term care is a solution for seniors living with chronic health conditions. They often need much more help from a dedicated caregiver, with tasks such as getting in and out of the bed or chairs, moving around, and more.

If your loved one has a diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia, they will benefit from living in a memory care neighborhood. Memory care neighborhoods are specifically designed to support the needs of individuals with cognitive impairments and alleviate the stress on family members caring for them.

Joining a memory care neighborhood earlier can help provide the necessary structure, social engagement, and mental stimulation seniors with brain changes need. Making the transition will become harder as the disease progresses. If possible, it’s better to make the move while your loved one can participate in the decision.

Our community offers secure suite and studio apartments as well as 24/7 supervision from one of our team members.

We offer two memory care residences: Anderson Place in our assisted living neighborhood, and Haury Place in our long-term care neighborhood. Should a resident in Anderson Place need additional care, they may transition to Haury Place and continue to receive Newton Presbyterian Manor’s expert memory care services.

Yes, we’re HCBS-certified in Assisted Living which is equivalent to Medicaid. We also accept Medicaid-approved residents in long-term care.
