PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®) is proud to announce that Elizabeth Neely, Regional HR Director, is part of the 2024 class of "The Best in Wichita - Human Resources" -- an honor by the Wichita Business Journal.

Elizabeth works in our home office in Wichita but she travels regularly to the communities she supports.

In her profile for the Wichita Business Journal, Elizabeth explains how her interest in human resources grew when she was a student at Kansas State University. She worked with two HR professionals who showed her "how HR can make a positive impact on an organization." And that's also her advice for anyone interested in the profession - she recommends shadowing someone in HR to get an idea of what the job is like.

During her career with PMMA®, Elizabeth witnessed some of the biggest challenges facing HR professionals - including the COVID-19 pandemic as it impacted the senior living industry. "There were several healthcare professionals who left the healthcare field due to the pandemic which resulted in a healthcare staffing shortage," she explains.

Elizabeth credits her mentors and supervisors throughout her career for helping her grow and "shape the person I am today." She's also thankful for the support of her family.
