Salina Presbyterian Manor is home to more than 200 active adults living and aging at their own pace. In our community, home is where residents find comfort, safety, and inspiration for an active life.

In a recent study, residents and families stated the need for updates to both the physical spaces and the programs at Salina Presbyterian Manor The goal is to ensure that our residents live well and age well.

PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America®), Salina Presbyterian Manor’s parent organization is responding to the need by investing $14 million to add more independent living, conduct a major renovation which includes adding a wellness center, and enhance amenities and services.

Embracing Healthy Aging

This thought-out environmental design will enable residents to maintain a lifestyle that supports healthy aging, strong social connections and their personal choices. We ask our families and friends to join us in this exciting initiative.

The Preserving Legacies, Enriching Lives Campaign will improve our community with:

  • A complete redesign of the main entrance and lobby
  • Reimagined dining with more choices:  a bistro, lounge, and main dining room
  • A new wellness center for swimming, exercise, and therapy
  • A new beauty salon, with pedicures
  • A new arts and crafts center
  • A lounge for social connections prior to dining or a casual place to watch local sports
  • Redesigned multipurpose and learning space on the lower level
  • A new parking lot with more spaces
  • A new employee lounge

More than a Facelift

This design goes beyond a renovation – it’s a lifestyle
enhancement for both our current and future residents. It reflects our commitment as the only Life Plan community
in town, offering the full continuum of care for aging adults and ensuring that additional care is available if they need it.

Our faith-based approach is leading us through this project, guiding us in service of something greater than ourselves.

You Can Make a Difference

Join us in our work to improve the lives of the extraordinary residents we serve. Help us enhance and enrich the place our residents call home.

“I think the Manor’s campaign deserves consideration because it serves the needs of many elderly in our own community. A donation made today could very well become an investment in the donor’s own future forever home.”

Life at the Manor

“I found it to be a second family. We can laugh with each other. I still get to play the piano and bless others with my music. I feel needed here at the manor, and I love playing for others.”

“I’m happy here. The fact that you can move from one level of care to another and never have to leave the campus is nice. I like the relationships that I have built here, they’re very meaningful and real.”

“The staff is so polite. It makes us so comfortable, and all our needs are taken care of, so are at peace and wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.”

“I appreciate the friendship and spending time with people my age. I’m here for the fact that I can get medical attention when needed, and that gives me peace of mind.”

A Sneak Peek

The design begins with a refreshed entry experience, with an open and bright lobby and reception area serving as the welcome center for all who enter Salina Presbyterian Manor.

Dining at its Finest

As the hub of social life, the dining room will be more than a place to have dinner. Whether you are in the mood for a quick bite or coffee, a place to watch a ball game, and a place to entertain guests, we are reimagining the dining area to give our residents more options.

A new bistro will offer a fresh, light menu. A new cocktail lounge area will allow residents to gather before or after a meal for conversation and good company. The main dining room will provide an elevated experience offering chef-curated menus that use fresh ingredients.

State-of-the-Art Wellness Center

The new wellness center is designed to support healthy aging with therapeutic rehabilitation services in healthcare, and wellness programming for all our residents. It will be connected directly to both the main lobby and the healthcare center and will allow everyone to stay active while staying on campus. We envision:

  • A recreational wellness‐depth pool with trained staff leading aquatic rehabilitation and recreational activities
  • New exercise equipment
  • Locker rooms and space for trained wellness staff and therapists to support residents on site

Lower-Level Multi-Purpose Room

Special events are at the heart of making Salina Presbyterian Manor extraordinary. Updating the lower-level multi-purpose area for residents will offer a flexible shared space for a wide range of educational programs and events, from card games to seminars and workshops, to hosting families and visitors.

Our new home will feature brighter lighting, flexible seating and amenities that encourage life-long learning and community-building.
