Memory Care at Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America

Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America provides Memory Care to people with Alzheimer's and other memory impairments.

Our memory care neighborhoods offer secure and welcoming environments designed to stimulate the mind. Our services are tailored to each individual. Everything from social and educational opportunities to shared dining with staff and residents helps promote an engaging atmosphere of comfort and familiarity.

We Continue to Learn From our Residents

As a resource for your family’s needs, we deliver care and services that enable your loved one to enjoy quality of life with companionship, security and empowering support.

You’ll find employees who understand the needs of those with memory loss impairments, because our staff receives special training in person-centered memory care and programming.

In 1986, PMMA introduced one of Kansas’ first memory care programs at our Newton location. Today, we continue to learn from our residents, their loved ones and experts in the field.

Individualized Therapies

At our Arkansas City and Newton campuses, we offer the award-winning Behavior-Based Ergonomics Therapy for residents with Alzheimer’s disease and other forms of dementia in our secure and welcoming memory care neighborhood.

The BBET program is based on ergonomics and neuroscience research on the progression of Alzheimer’s disease and the changes that occur in the brain. Since its launch in 2010, the BBET program has won six national awards and spread to more than 14 senior living communities specializing in memory care in three states.

The BBET approach to memory care offers individualized therapies tailored to your loved one’s likes and needs. The therapies include music CDs, videos, stimulating therapy activities and a memory prop box created with the assistance family members, providing you an opportunity to participate in your loved one’s care. Therapies are available 24-hours a day, seven days a week, which means your loved one can benefit any time, day or night.
