Bruce joined PMMA in 1996 as chief financial officer, treasurer of the board and vice president of information systems. He was named CEO in 2011. A certified public accountant, he came to PMMA after 12 years at a public accounting firm serving clients in various industries. He has a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Kansas State University.

Bill Taylor became PMMA’s Chief Operating Officer effective July 1, 2015. Bill has 30 years of long-term care experience. Prior to his regional director position, he served as the executive director of Salina Presbyterian Manor. He entered into the long-term care industry in 1985, garnering experience as an administrator, an owner and operator of two nursing communities, and a CEO of Blue Valley Lutheran Homes in Hebron, Nebraska.

Beth joined the PMMA team in March 2023. She has 22 years of experience working for various companies in the senior living industry in sales and marketing. She has been responsible for 85 communities in her career and has a strong passion for older adults and the lifestyle that our communities offer to our residents.

Melanie Owens joined PMMA in 2017 as senior vice president for human resources and was named chief financial officer in June 2017. She has more than 25 years of experience in human resources, non-profit finance management including a 10-year stint as a CFO, staff training and development, community-based program management and new program development. Melanie has a bachelor of arts in accounting, with a minor in computer science and sociology, from Friends University, and a master’s degree in human resource management and organizational development from Webster University. She also holds the following credentials: Certified Compensation Professional (CCP), Professional Human Resources (PHR) and Society Human Resources Certified Professional (SHRM-CP).

Jeanne Gerstenkorn became Senior Vice President of Health and Wellness Services effective July 1, 2015. She began her nursing career in 2000, after a successful career in the banking industry. Jeanne was hired as the Nursing Information Specialist at PMMA in 2006, after serving as the director of nursing at Sandpiper Bay in Wichita, Kan. Jeanne holds bachelor of science and master of science degrees in nursing. In addition, she holds certifications in resident assessment, clinical management, geriatrics and nursing informatics.

Sherry K. Hind joined PMMA in 1978 as secretary for interpretation and support (development and marketing). She served in operations and property development from 1980 to 1985, when she became administrative assistant to the president and CEO. She became corporate secretary and executive assistant in 1996 and was named vice president for corporate administrative services in 2011. Sherry oversees corporate programs including insurance coverage, licensing of communities and resident agreements. She serves as secretary to the board of trustees.

Gary McGuire was named vice president of information systems at PMMA in March 2014 after working as a consultant with the organization for 10 years. Gary has worked in the field of Information Systems for more than 20 years, and he has been an IT consultant for approximately 18 years, working in the fields of health care, banking, manufacturing and education.

Sarah Oenning has been with PMMA since 2001, when she worked to raise funds for the Aberdeen Village campus in Olathe, Kansas. After the completion of that project, she continued to work in fundraising and marketing for the organization. She took a brief leave and returned to the organization in 2008. She assumed leadership of the Giving Department (formerly known as the Development Department) in October 2015 and was named Vice President of Giving in July 2019.
