A Shred-It® mobile shredding truck will be onsite to securely destroy your unwanted personal documents. \nWhen: Saturday\, August 2 \nTime: 10 a.m. – Noon \nWhere: Broadway Apartments Parking Lot\, 1200 E. 7th in Newton \nShredding documents is one of the most secure ways to prevent identity fraud. Using a secure service like Shred-It ensures your private information stays safe from outsiders. \nWhat to bring: \n\nOld Financial Documents\nIf not needed for taxes\, anything with financial information should be destroyed.\nShipping Labels\nShipping labels can have personal information including names and addresses.\nPhotos\nPhotos can be stolen and used for fake identification.\nDuplicates\nIf information is saved on a computer or another document\, copies should be shredded.\n\nWhat NOT to bring: \n\nCardboard tubes\nHanging folders\nInk cartridges and toners\nHard Drives\nThese require a special destruction process that will not be offered at Community Shred-it Events.\nBatteries\nSeek guidance from your battery’s producer to learn about secure disposal.\nMedical Waste/Syringes\nAttend your local Drug Take Back Day event to dispose of pharmaceutical waste and contact your local government to learn about other medical\nwaste disposal options.\n\nIf you have questions\, contact Newton Presbyterian Manor at 316-283-5400. \nNPM Shred It Event Flyer – June 2025 \n  \n
