Nancy Duling, director of development for GraceMed Health Clinic, has joined the PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America) board of trustees. The not-for-profit organization has 16 senior living communities and 2 hospices in Kansas and Missouri and a new community under development in Colorado Springs, Colo.

Duling has been director of development for GraceMed since 2016. She has primarily worked for not-for-profits in the Wichita area since 1985 and has been active in a number of community organizations. She has extensive experience in volunteer recruitment, development and fundraising. She has a history of excelling in the profit and not-for-profit sectors.

“We’re excited to bring Nancy onto the board for PMMA,” said Bruce Shogren, president and chief executive officer. “Her broad range of experience in the not-for-profit sector will be a wonderful asset to our board, as she fulfills her first term as a member of the Finance Committee.”

In addition to the general responsibility for governing the organization, the trustees discuss possible solutions for the needs of seniors throughout the PMMA service areas, approve corporate policies, and participate in fundraising efforts. Many board of trustee members also serve on community advisory councils for individual PMMA locations.

Duling has an associate’s degree in hospitality management from Butler County Community College, a bachelor of science in human resources management, and a master of science in management from Friends University.

James Cook, Wildwood, Mo., is the board chairperson.
