The week began with a birthday party in Elvis’ honor, complete with music-themed decorations. Independent Living, Health Care Center and Assisted Living residents enjoyed one of Elvis’ favorite treats: fried peanut butter and banana sandwiches. Party-goers also were served Blue Suede Punch. The residents enjoyed the opportunity to guess some of Elvis’ most popular songs while playing Elvis Bingo. What party would be complete without a special performance from Elvis? Mark Baker, Elvis impersonator, got the crowd “All Shook Up” during his interactive and fun performance that evening. Later in the week, Health Care Center residents were the performers during a special karaoke party. Assisted Living resident Norma Graber dropped in for a special performance of “Pretty Woman.” Other karaoke participants included resident Eleanor Robinson, Social Services Director Katrina Williams, Activities Director Amy Myers, Human Resources Director Bette Creech, Activities Coordinator Linda Arbuckle-Ross, and Certified Nurse Aide Denisha Williams The karaoke party was certainly a rockin’ good time!
