Home | Recent News | Wichita | Common Threads | 01 Jun 2006 Common threads: Visit quilt show June 23The Prairie Quilt Guild will present the 12th Biennial Quilt show at Century II Expo Hall June 23 to 25. This is one of the biggest and best displays of quilts in the Midwest. The show will have something for everyone: those who have been quilting for years as well as those who are new to the art. More than 800 quilts will be on display from beginners to accomplished quilters, and more than 50 vendors’ booths will be filled with fabric, patterns, notions and sewing machines. The Prairie Quilt Guild was founded in 1982 with 100 members, and now membership is more than 800. The guild’s purpose is to promote and advance quilting by conducting educational programs and services and fostering research in the history of the art. Admission to the quilt show is $7.50. We plan to go Friday, June 23, at 2 p.m.; call Amy at 942-7456 for reservations.
