On January 14 the Red Hat Pink Flamingo ladies of Sterling hosted a tea party for the residents at 6:30 pm at the Manor. The Queen Mother for the group is Bev Dill, who is also the receptionist at Presbyterian Manor. Four different hot teas were served in beautiful china tea pots, which were brought by Mrs. Dill. Each group member brought goodies to go with the tea. One cookie was shaped like a tea pot, other treats included spiced pecans, scones and homemade candy. Anna Breashear, a Sterling High School student, entertained us with piano music. Each of the ladies in attendance had their picture taken in red hat attire. The Red Hat Pink Flamingos host at least one gathering at the Manor for the women who live there. Everyone had a very nice evening and it was made even more special by the more formal tea house atmosphere created by the china tea pots and delectable refreshments.
