Residents celebrate freedom on the Fourth

Recent News

Manor volunteer Phyllis Fulton shows off her patriotic look during Celebrate our Country Week.

Residents attended the Fourth of July parade in Sterling. Numerous volunteers and staff members walked with residents to watch the parade. More than 20 residents were in attendance.

It was exciting to watch the Manor vans pass by as they were driven in the parade. Five people rode in the vans and threw candy to the kids who lined the streets. One of the residents said, “I had the time of my life.”

While the residents were having fun at the parade, some staff members were helping at the Sterling Lake with a dunking booth. It was all part of a Good Samaritan fund-raiser, where we raised more than $150. Volunteer Terry Fenwick was the big moneymaker. Congratulations to him.

We would also like to thank everyone who helped that day to make the fund-raiser a success.

In fact, all of the festivities during Celebrate our Country Week were a big hit with residents and staff alike. Thank you to everyone who participated in the fun.
