Home | Recent News | Salina | Rededicates Chapel 01 Sep 2006 Presbyterian Manor Rededicates Chapel Following RenovationThanks to many donors and fundraising activities, the Salina Presbyterian Manor will rededicate their Chapel to celebrate its recent renovation. The rededication ceremony will include a blessing by Rev. Ken Trickle, United Methodist Church; Rev. Don Schroeder (ret.), Sunrise Presbyterian Church; Father Bruce LeBaron, Christ Cathedral Episcopal Church; and Bishop Paul Coakley, Salina Catholic Diocese. The ceremony will be part of the Sunday service at the Manor on Sunday, September 17th at 3:00p.m. Jason Herndon, Hospice of Salina, will sing accompanied by Ivis Meitler, Manor resident. The Chapel was originally dedicated shortly after the Manor opened in 1980. The recent renovation of the Chapel is a part of (or in addition to) the Shaping Tomorrow renovation and expansion project at the Manor, which has given the Manor a brand new assisted living wing featuring 16 one-bedroom apartments. Visitors and guests will also see the new construction in the Manor’s Health Care Center which will allow the Manor to provide each resident with a private room. The Milton L. Morrison Memory Support Center will give those living with Alzheimer’s and other dementia a secure environment in which to enjoy life with the supportive services they need. These projects, along with general renovations and landscaping, are slated to be finished just after the first of the year. Salina Presbyterian Manor is a not-for-profit, active living and wellness community offering residential options including active living townhomes and apartment homes, assisted living and skilled nursing care for mature adults. The Manor has served Saline County since 1980 and is in the process of expanding its residential choices with the addition of the Morrison Memory Support center.
