Fall tradition planned

The Manor’s doors will open for trick-or-treaters from 6 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct.31.

Staff members, residents’ families and friends are welcome to bring their children to the event.

The Manor’s activities director and volunteers will be on hand to direct the flow of traffic.

Children are invited to stop by any resident’s door that has a paper pumpkin on it to receive their goodies.

Anyone who does not wish to participate may simply remove the pumpkin and shut his or her door.

The Country Store will stock extra candy prior to Halloween for residents’ convenience. Duplex residents may turn on their porch lights to welcome trick-or-treaters or come to the Manor and give out their candy in the lobbies. The number of trick-or-treaters at the Manor has varied from only a few children in some years to heavy turnout in others. Community-sponsored events and weather seem to be the determining factors.

One thing is sure, though, there will be enough candy and fun for all who participate.
