Spring – Time for a Personal Retreat

Ah Spring….a time to enjoy fresh air and sunshine and a time to get busy preparing the ground for a vegetable garden, planning flowers, or just doing spring cleaning. It’s fun to feel the fresh start of spring when all things are new and ready to begin. However, as that initial excitement wanes, and you see your “to do” list grow, do you start to dream about a new beginning for yourself? Maybe a little personal retreat with someone taking care of your every need – no chores, just fun things to do, and staying in a beautifully appointed suite.

A Taste of the Good Life

If you are ready for a personal retreat and a chance to give yourself a fresh “springtime” start to the year, then Presbyterian Manor has a great offer for you. We call it our “Manor Sampler,” an opportunity to relax, get away from chores, enjoy delicious meals and stay in a beautifully appointed guest suite – FREE. Yes, free. Free lodging, free meals, free entertainment. In addition to enjoying a little personal retreat, you have the opportunity to find out what it would be like to live at Presbyterian Manor – at no cost or obligation. We will, of course, give you a tour of the campus so you know where things are, but the objective is to give you a taste of what life might be like without the regular chores of owning a home.

The Suite

Our two-room Manor Sampler guest suite is located on the first floor. The suite has two single beds in the bedroom, a private bathroom and shower, ample closet space and a living room complete with cable television, snacks and coffee/tea service items.

The Manor Sampler

Manor Sampler suite is scheduled for up to three days and three nights. Your stay includes all meals, activities, use of the game room and library. You will dine in the Dining Room on first floor. All meals are served buffet style, and you will be offered a complete breakfast, a full lunch, and a lighter-fare but filling evening meal. Remember, your stay is completely free.

The Manor Sampler program isn’t for everyone – you do need to be age-qualified which is 65 or older. If you’d like your adult son or daughter to join you on the visit, we can arrange that. Then they, too, get to find out what kind of freedom you would have if Presbyterian Manor were your home.

Your Neighbors

As you explore our accommodations, cuisine, and activities, you will also have an opportunity to meet our staff and residents. Through meals and participating in activities, you will find yourself meeting new friends and possibly rediscovering old friends. You may be surprised to find that your neighbors at the Manor are just like you – active seniors who are more than happy to enjoy their life while someone else takes care of the chores. Active Seniors who enjoy the opportunity to participate in all kinds of activities and trips. Active Seniors who enjoy deciding what they want to do – and when; living life as it should be lived – full of friends, fun and enjoyment. Neighbors are just a step away when you want to visit, staff is just a step away when you need assistance, and you have your own private suite in which to relax.

The Way You Want to Live

At Presbyterian Manor, you don’t give up your independence. In fact, you don’t give up anything – except maybe the everyday home maintenance that gets in the way of your enjoying the hobbies and interests you love. There are many options when considering if retirement community living is for you. At Presbyterian Manor, we realize how difficult it can be to make a decision. Even when you’ve visited a community, it’s hard to know exactly what it would be like to live there. With our Manor Sampler program, you can. It truly is the way you want to live. And you might be surprised at how easy and affordable it can be.

Just give us a call when you are ready to sample a little of the good life at Presbyterian Manor. We will schedule your getaway and we’ll even give you a free gift just for staying. So call today (620) 421 – 1450 and ask for Jill or email Jill at jblankinship@pmma.org.
