Chair yoga was offered as a tranquil alternative to the current exercises done each week. “Yoga Health” is led by Pat Hulbert. This video focuses on breathing for relaxation, coordinated stretching and yoga movements while seated in a chair. The benefits of yoga are improved blood circulation, better muscle tone, greater flexibility, increased energy, and harmony between body, mind and emotions. In addition, tai chi was offered as an alternative to tai chi. Tai chi is an ancient martial art that involves 108 different movements. However, tai chi chi’s movements do not focus on offensive or defensive moves and is therefore not considered a martial art. There are only 19 hand movements and one stationary body pose. The movements of tai chi chi emphasize meditation. With regular practice, tai chi chi can improve balance, reduce stress, improve endurance, increase strength and lower blood pressure. Tai chi chi is also on video and is performed by Don Fiore.
