It was another traveling adventure for John’s Jumpy Bumpy Bus Ride Bunch, as we headed east out of town on October 2, headed for Regier’s Farm and Orchard. Owner Daryl Regier is the third generation to operate this farm. The land was homesteaded in 1883. The first apple trees were planted nearly a century later, in 1977, and the first peach trees in 1980. Regier’s Farm and Orchard now raises eight varieties of apples. Daryl’s family and staff hosted us in the old farmhouse, offering samples of fresh apples and apple cider. Everyone agreed it was the best cider ever! We were also able to watch the long conveyor polish and sort apples, and each of us was given an apple of our choice.
