 Home | Recent News | Lawrence | Summer Concerts Planned 01 Jun 2006 Summer concerts plannedJune means it is time for the Lawrence City Band members to shine up their horns and dust off the gazebo in South Park. Band concerts will be held each Wednesday at South Park in downtown Lawrence. The concerts will begin at 8 p.m. and last for one hour. The Manor van will be available to take residents to the concerts. The van capacity is 14 residents. A sign-up sheet will be available in the business office on the Thursday before each concert. Lawn chairs are provided. We will offer two vans for the June 14 and July 5 concerts, so a total of 24 seats will be available for those dates. Please be aware that you will have to carry your chair and walk a short distance from the van to the lawn in front of the gazebo. In case of inclement weather, storms or extreme heat, the van service will be canceled. We will try to make the decision by noon the day of the concerts.
