Manor to host ‘Pies the Limit’ competition

It’s time to dust off that pie plate and haul out your recipe file.

The second annual “Pie’s the Limit” best pie competition is just around the corner.

The competition is set for Thursday, Aug. 24. Pies should be delivered to the business office, activities office or recreation room kitchen no later than noon on Aug. 24.

Make sure your pie is labeled so it can be properly judged, and that your plate is labeled if you want it back.

Prizes will be awarded in the following categories:

  • Fruit pies
  • Custard pies
  • Cream/meringue
  • Sugar-free
  • Most creative presentation (For those of you who don’t bake but would like to decorate a store-bought pie).
  • Men’s division

Please sign up in the business office by 5 p.m. Monday, Aug. 21, if you intend to enter.

Judging will be on Thursday, Aug. 24, at 1:30 p.m.

Pies will be eaten at 3 p.m. in the recreation room.

All Manor residents and staff are invited to sample the pies entered in the contest.
