Please mark your calendars for the resident Christmas dinners. The Christmas dinner for residents and families of Serenity Place will be Monday, Dec. 11, at 5 p.m. The Christmas dinner for Painted Passages will be Tuesday, Dec. 12, at 5 p.m. The Christmas dinner for all other residents will be Wednesday, Dec. 13, at 1 p.m., in the chapel and main dining room. The cost is $8 per guest, residents and children younger than 5 years are free. The fee is cash only, payable at the dinner. Please RSVP to Bridget Wolfe, at (913) 334-3666, ext. 3532, before Friday, Dec. 8. We look forward to the Christmas dinners and appreciate the festive decorations at the Manor. In November, the Manor hosted a Christmas fund-raiser for the Good Samaritan Fund. We purchased 10 Christmas trees for each department to decorate. Each department was responsible for decorating its own 3-foot tree with donated decorations. After all the trees were decorated, residents judged the trees, and the trees were sold during a craft fair.
