Home | Recent News | Fulton | Fun is Ageless 08 May 2007 Residents, area children learn about each other and that fun is ageless during the yearDuring the Christmas season, the Manor is always filled with children’s voices and laughter. This year was no exception. On Dec. 2, students from William Woods University performed for residents. Residents enjoyed watching our guests interpret Christmas songs through sign language. Resident Evelyn Tucker commented that the students used their hands so beautifully during the performance. On Dec. 10, residents and their friends from Fulton Preschool enjoyed spending time together creating yummy gingerbread houses. From Fruit Loops for chimneys, to sticks of gum for doors and windows, everyone had fun using their imagination and creating beautiful gingerbread houses. Then on Dec. 13, a wonderful group of singers from Fulton High School stopped by the Manor for a concert. Their voices were wonderful as they blended together in harmony. Residents sang along to carols that they remembered. Grace Taylor smiled as she listened to all the carols that were being sung. All the residents clapped when the group finished, and we wished them all a very Merry Christmas. Finally, on Dec. 17, a group from the Missouri School for the Deaf visited to hand out beautiful Christmas cards to all the residents. Residents smiled and said thank you in sign language to our visitors. “It was nice for them to take the time to visit, and make all these cards,” Mary Margaret Bloom said.
