Village enjoys holiday entertainment

The holiday season is bringing lots of different and fun activities to the Village.

On the first day of December, there was special entertainment by Anna Tebbets, who works in the Village’s administrative office, and her husband Gary. They performed a holiday concert in the community room at 3:30 p.m. It was quite a treat, and they are very talented.

Our holiday dinner is scheduled for Dec. 13 beginning at 6 p.m. Residents are invited to enjoy a feast of ham, sweet potato casserole, cranberry salad, green beans and hot rolls, and a wonderful assortment of homemade pies will be served. Volunteer Lloyd Hauk will provide the entertainment by performing selected songs that he has recorded in the past, as well as Christmas favorites. Children from Winfield Scott and Eugene Ware elementary schools will perform. We are also taking a trip to the Lyon’s Victorian Mansion for afternoon tea on Dec. 18.

Dolly the Holiday Trolley is scheduled for Dec. 19 at 6:30 p.m. to take us to see a beautiful light display.

El Charro’s Restaurant was our December choice for dining out. We will visit the restaurant on Dec. 21. The bus will leave at 4:30 p.m.

What a really fun month this will be at the Village! We invite the public to attend all of our events. Please call Activities Director Jamie Stucky for more information or to make a reservation. She can be reached at (620) 223-5550.
