Summer events at the Village

During the summer months, the Village is trying something new.

The second and fourth Sundays of the month we have scheduled a new event: music ministries. These Sundays there will not be a traditional church service. Instead, they will feature gospel music. We are hoping that everyone will enjoy this type of ministry. If you know of individuals or groups who would like to give a little of their time and talents in this way, please let a Village staff member know.

Outings are always fun for residents at the Village. On Friday, June 30, several residents enjoyed an evening at the Collingsworth Family Gospel Concert.

Excitement, spiritual anointing, an emphasis on family and musical excellence are just a few of the things we enjoyed at this concert. Phil and Kim Collingsworth and their four children travel the country performing and ministering. Everyone had such a great time.

July 17 was National Ice Cream Day. Residents, staff and guests enjoyed the afternoon at an old-fashioned ice cream social. We feasted on homemade ice cream and cookies, and had a great time visiting.
