Home | Recent News | Fort Scott | Good Samaritan Dinner 01 Apr 2008 Annual Good Samaritan Dinner and Auction April 29Presbyterian Village will host its annual Good Samaritan Dinner and Auction the evening of April 29 beginning at 4:30 p.m., when dinner begins serving. The live auction begins at 5:30 p.m. The event will benefit the Village Good Samaritan Program.
Chicken Annie will again be serving a chicken dinner and homemade dessert. Drive-through and carry out options are available for those who like to pickup a dinner to take home to the family. Tickets for the dinner are $6 in advance or $7 at the door.
A live auction will begin at 5:30 p.m. People from throughout the community have donated items to help us in raising funds for the Good Samaritan Program. There are many interesting new and antique items for people to bid on. A silent auction will be open through the evening as well.
To cap off the evening, there will be a drawing for a Caribbean cruise for two. Tickets are offered for a suggested donation of $5 each or three for $10. These can be purchased in advance at the Village or at the dinner.
Throughout the evening, attendees will enjoy local entertainers which make this one of the fun social events of the year. Plan to join us for a good meal and a good cause.
Proceeds from the Good Samaritan Dinner and Auction will be used for the Good Samaritan Fund which provides assistance for residents whose financial resources are exhausted through no fault of their own. This fund is made possible through donations from friends of the Village.
