Home | Recent News | Fort Scott | December a Busy Month 02 Jan 2006 December a busy month for residentsBusy, busy, busy. This describes the Village and its residents during December 2005. During this time of year, Fort Scott is a winter wonderland of lights and we enjoyed taking a trip — or two — to see them. On the evening of the Dec. 6, 2005, residents enjoyed a bus trip to look at all the Christmas lights. The spirit of the season was so strong that we had a great number of residents who wanted to go for a bus ride! We were glad to make two trips so that we could accommodate everyone’s wishes. The first group left the Village at 5:30 p.m. and the second group went at 6:30 p.m. Dining out in December was a real treat. We had a wonderful lunch at the Kress Tea Room. Attendees included residents Ellen Coester, Alice Ames, Donna Ingold and Activities Director DeeDee Cheney. The Kress Tea Room was decorated so beautifully for the holidays, that it really made the experience special.
