 Home | Recent News | Farmington | Trip Winner Announced 04 Jul 2007 Presbyterian Manor Announces Trip Winner Residents, staff and family members gathered together on Wednesday, June 13th to enjoy a Hawaiian luau and celebrate the winner of the $2500 travel gift certificate. This year’s lucky winner of the Get Away Give Away gift certificate was Fredericktown resident Ray Starkey.
KREI/ J-98 joined the festivities this year broadcasting the event from the Assisted Living dining room. Residents Peggy McClymont, Irma Tetley, Bill James and Georgia Neff were interviewed by local radio personality Louie Seiberlich of KREI. The residents shared their positive feelings about their home here at Presbyterian Manor.
Entertainment was provided by the local steel drum band lead by Kyle Cox of Pantheon Steel Drums.Residents and guests enjoyed a Hawaiian themed hors d’oeuvres buffet provided by the talented food services staff at the Manor.
All proceeds of the Get Away Give Away fundraiser benefited the Manor’s Good Samaritan Fund. The Good Samaritan Program provides over $600,000 in annual assistance to local residents who have out lived their personal financial resources and wish to remain at the Manor.
Jane Hull, Executive Director of the Manor stated: “I am very pleased with the results of the annual fundraiser. We collected a total of $12,040 in generous sponsorships and raffle ticket sales.” Hull adds “a great effort was made by the staff, advisory committee, business sponsors and individual sponsors in the community.”
