New Manor program gets residents moving

In an effort to provide better physical fitness, the Manor is offering programs to assist its residents. Residents are provided daily exercise with activity staff.

These exercises are geared toward people with limited mobility and can be performed while sitting in a chair or wheelchair. There are a variety of exercises in an attempt to keep exercise fun.

In addition to daily exercise, a seminar, “Exercise: The Key to Keeping Your Golden Years Golden,” was recently offered. During the seminar residents learned about healthy living and the things they can do to maintain a healthy lifestyle, even in later adulthood. The seminar was presented by Miranda Smith, a physical therapist. Healthy snacks were served.

Residents are encouraged to participate in daily exercise and attend any available seminars to help them stay in shape.
