Art is Ageless exhibit showcases “senior” talent

Recent News

Creative spirit knows no age. Last week Presbyterian Manor celebrated the timelessness of artistic talent during the 27th Art is Ageless annual exhibit. Residents enjoyed the display of drawings, paintings, needlework, wood sculpture, crafts and photography. All week the 31 entries were located in the residential care lobby. Alison Sheets, marketing director said, “We were fortunate to have nine new artists join us this year bringing more variety of entries to the exhibit including several wooden three- dimensional pieces. Our residents show us every year that creative talent is ageless and this year we were pleased to have artists from the community at large joining us once again.”

The artist’s reception and awards ceremony on Friday, August 10th was a huge success. Residents and staff enjoyed music provided by local harpist Micki Ross and got a chance to visit with the senior artist from the Manor and the surrounding area. A delicious hors d’oeuvres buffet was prepared by Amy McClure, Director of Food Services and her talented staff.
