Manor dog show a howling good time

The Manor held its third annual dog show Monday, Sept. 18.

Ten dogs participated, along with their owners, and showed off their talents and good looks for the enjoyment of residents, staff and friends.

Proud owners of these contestants were residents, family members, friends and staff members.

The dogs and their owners were: MiBu (Boo-Boo) and owner Erika Martin; Sadie and owner Ann Schroeder; Shorty and owner Peggy Good, shown by Wayne Rector; Lady and owner Verna Davis; Bixby and owners Sarah and Dan Griggs; Brown Sugar Baby and owner Mindy Sedam; Buster Stevens (Bustamove) and owner Pam Stevens; Diego and owner Amie Whitted, shown by Candi Holmes; Winston and owner Ashley Peters; and Gunther and owner Lori Peters.

Manor residents, if they desire, may enjoy having their own dog live with them, and it was a real treat to meet all the dogs who live at the Manor.

After a fun-filled exhibition that showcased the many achievements of each contestant. In addition, each pet received a certificate and a prize.

Residents voted for special awards and prizes: Best Tricks, Gunther, (Lori Peters); Best Groomed, Buster (Pam Stevens); Cutest Dog, Winston (Ashley Peters); Most Loveable Dog, Lady (Verna Davis); and, Grand Champion Best of Show, Lady (Verna Davis).
