Aberdeen Village has a new video to show the public and prospects what life at Aberdeen is like. To have some fun and thank all those who participated, Aberdeen hosted a premier party that started with rolling out the red carpet. Volunteers greeted those who were driven up to the door in a limo--the “stars” of the video—dressed as reporters and paparazzi taking pictures and vying for interviews.
Executive Director Tim Allin even took on a role as one of the paparazzi, and the Restaurant Director, was Joan Rivers with microphone trying to get the celebrity “scoop.” In addition, other staff helped enhance the atmosphere and fun of the event, including one who dressed up like a box of popcorn and opened the limo door for the “celebrities,” several staff dressed in top hats and tux vests, and served in various capacities for the event.

Guests were greeted in the foyer by 12-foot-high inflatable Oscar Statues and an oold-fashioned popcorn machine so the foyer smelled like the lobby of a movie theatre. Each guest received premier tickets and the “theatre” was decorated with signs proclaiming “Premier Showing” along with ticket-shaped signs that said “Applause”. A concession booth added even more the gala atmosphere. Popcorn, soda pop and other treats were served by costumed employees.
