Home | Recent News | Aberdeen Village | Golf Tournament Funds 01 Sep 2006 Golf tournament raises fundsThe Village joined our sister community in Kansas City, Kan., for the Annual Presbyterian Manors Good Samaritan Golf Classic. The tournament was held Sept. 20 at Falcon Lakes Golf Course in Basheor, Kan. Dr. Bob Meneilly was the honorary chairperson for the event. Proceeds benefited the Good Samaritan Fund for the communities. The Good Samaritan Fund was established to help Presbyterian Manors fulfill its mission of care to the senior community. The fund helps residents who have outlived their financial resources. In all our history, no resident has ever been asked to leave for lack of resources. Presbyterian Manor of Kansas City and the Village provide nearly $900,000 combined in unreimbursed care and services. With more than 100 golfers, $21,800 was raised for the Good Samaritan Fund. This amount would not be possible without Presbyterian Manor of Kansas City and Aberdeen Village working together. The Golf Classic committee would like to send a big thank you to everyone who donated their time or funds. It was a huge success, and we would like to thank everyone who participated in this fun event!
