Fort Scott Prepares for Art is Ageless, Call for Entries announced

We are pleased to announce commencement of preparations for the 2007 Art is Ageless 27th Juried Exhibit. To begin our celebration of Presbyterian Village’s 2007 Art is Ageless events we are beginning with a drawing and water color class taught by Jeff Locke, Art Director at Fort Scott Community College. This year it is hoped that many community members will attend the class and make painting a new hobby of theirs. Village to host annual fundraiser dinner, auction

Presbyterian Village of Fort Scott will host its annual Good Samaritan Fund benefit dinner and auction on Wednesday, April 25 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. We will be serving Chicken Annie’s Dinners complete with homemade dessert and drinks throughout the evening. In addition to the auction items, we will be drawing for one lucky pair to win a seven-day cruise at the end of the evening. Read More...

April Showers didn’t dampen community support for Presbyterian Village Good Samaritan Evening

Despite cool, rainy weather, the April 25 auction and dinner to benefit Fort Scott Presbyterian Village’s Good Samaritan Fund raised more than $7,500, according to Executive Director Ginger Dierksen. “The folks at F.S.C.C. were nice enough to allow some of our guests to park in their lot, and community volunteers shuttled them over.” she said. “They just put on their raincoats, pulled out their umbrellas and were prepared to have a great time!” Read More...
