Edwin Shafer, FAHP, CFRE, Vice President of Development. Ed Shafer has more than 30 years of experience raising millions of dollars for dozens of non-profit organizations. Most recently he was with the Midwest Division of the American Cancer Society in Mendota Heights, Minn.. He has also worked for YMCAs, a Boy Scouts of America council, the Fort Wayne (Indiana) Children's Zoo, the Allen County Historical Society, as well numerous colleges, hospitals and a retirement facility. For more than 25 years, he has held the professional fundraising credentials of CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive) and FAHP (Fellow Association of Healthcare Philanthropy). He is a certified fundraising instructor through the Association of Fundraising Professionals Faculty Training Academy. He has taught on the local, regional and national levels. Originally from Nebraska, he earned his Bachelor of Arts in communications from Southern Adventist University in Collegedale, TN. He earned his Master of Arts in journalism from Ball State University in Muncie, Ind. |
