At Presbyterian Manor, we understand the dilemma you may be facing – the desire to care for your parent or loved one who has Alzheimer’s or a related dementia and the realization that this may be more than you can handle. This isn’t just anyone with Alzheimer’s – this is your mom or dad. We know you want to do what’s best for them.
That’s why we’ve created a place designed to provide the compassionate care and support your loved one needs and deserves. Knowing that your loved one is safe and in good hands, that he or she is happy, helps you feel good about your decision.
Whether memory loss is caused by Alzheimer’s, dementia or a related illness, Presbyterian Manor offers a secure and welcoming environment that provides programs designed to engage the mind, offer social opportunities and professional support to meet your loved one’s needs in a secure environment.
Each of our employees is trained to work with our residents with memory loss. Training is provided initially through the Alzheimer's Association with ongoing education and training to keep each employee current in caring for residents with memory loss.
Presbyterian Manors pioneered providing care specially tailored for seniors with Alzheimer’s or dementia in 1986 when they opened the first memory care center in Kansas at the Newton location. Since then, we’ve learned from our residents, from experts in this field of care and are proud of the reputation we’ve earned for providing the care and services residents need, providing you with the peace of mind that your loved one is in an environment that is supportive, challenging and helps them live as you’d want them to live.
