Arkansas City, Kan. — Sept. 16, 2005 — Pamela Johnson-Betts, secretary of the Kansas Department on Aging (KDOA), recently named Presbyterian Manor as recipient of the prestigious PEAK Award for 2005. “You and your staff are to be congratulated on the achievements you have made in changing the way services are provided to senior Kansans,” Johnson-Betts stated in a letter to management. “Your efforts have distinguished Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor as a leader in the culture change movement.”

Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor receives Exemplary Care recognition
ARKANSAS CITY, KS – Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America was notified that the Arkansas City Presbyterian Manor was recognized by the Kansas Department of Health and Environment (KDHE) with a letter of Exemplary Care.
“We are proud of the staff at Ark City Presbyterian Manor for their achievement and for the receipt of this recognition that a limited number of retirement communities and adult care homes in our state receive each year,” said William Ward, president and CEO of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America.
The letters of exemplary care are issued jointly by the Office of the Governor and the secretary of KDHE based on the findings of KDHE survey teams.
