Kansas is known for many things, including being the “birthplace” of Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America’s not-for-profit active living and wellness retirement communities. Our first location in Newton opened in 1949. It is also where our most recent location, Aberdeen Village in Olathe opened in 2001.

Kansas is also known for an affordable cost of living especially when compared to many of the retirement living “hot spots” The people are known for their friendliness and willingness to go out of their way to help their neighbors. You’ll find that several of the cities in which our communities are located have come up on national lists of “best places to live.” We currently operate 14 retirement communities in urban and rural settings.
