Recognizing those who include us in their estate plans
We recognize that those individuals who demonstrate their philanthropic generosity through estate gifts do so because they believe our work is important to their community and wish to see it continue. The Alice Kalb Society is a giving club acknowledging those individuals who have made Presbyterian Manors a part of their estate plans.
The name was chosen to honor the 90-year-old woman who had the courage to speak up at a council meeting of the Synod of Kansas (Presbyterian Church USA) in June of 1947. She asked if a home could be built for older persons who were in need of a place where they could live with dignity and receive services as their needs changed.
This humble request was listened to and acted upon by the Synod with the establishment of the Presbyterian Foundation of Kansas and the opening of the Presbyterian Manor of Newton in 1949. Now, as Presbyterian Manors of Mid-America, 17 communities in Kansas and Missouri serve the needs of seniors through a range of housing and services options to meet their needs.
We are grateful for the many estate gifts in our nearly 60 years which have benefited residents who have chosen Presbyterian Manors as their home. Alice Kalb Society members are recognized in our publications. If anonymity is a concern, Presbyterian Manors will keep your membership confidential.
